Every time you order a handmade Wombat Frame, you’re helping real people make beautiful things with care — one at a time, right here in Australia.

 

Because each frame is made with real care to order, we do need time to get everything crafted and delivered for Christmas. Here are our final order dates:

Our workshop will be taking a well-earned break after Christmas. Orders can still be placed during this time, but production will resume once we’re back.

How an Awsome Mirror was created out of small left over pieces of Recycled Timber 0

A solid mirror frame was made using recycled Oregon timbers from the wall studs salvaged from a house near Chatswood in Sydney. Then; the creative part!  Almost like a jigsaw,  small off-cuts were collected. These were then smothered in glue and nailed in position with small adjustments to fit.

This is a really big frame weighing almost 6kgs and featuring 16 multiple photo openings. It has multiple hanging points to distribute the load evenly. The frame is made of salvaged red gum in a Danish oil finish. Shabby white, recycled red gum and recycled brown gum are the three different styles available.
